Editorial policy

How we choose, write and update articles

This page explains what we publish first, when we rewrite existing articles and how we work with official sources.

Five rules the site is built on

1. Usefulness matters more than coverage

Priority goes to articles that help a reader make progress through a real stage of the journey.

2. Context matters more than big promises

If a topic depends on visa pathway, profession, budget or family situation, we say that directly.

3. Official requirements are separate from editorial explanation

For visas, rules and policy changes, official sources remain the primary reference.

4. Update dates are shown openly

Publication and update dates help readers understand how fresh the content is.

5. When we are not sure, we do not pretend

For changing or individual questions, we state the limitation and point to official information.
